Curata

What the shop says

In the shop's own words, summarized by us.

They source microlots from named farms and producers, like a washed Caturra from Guatemala's Andrés Recinos Pérez and a naturally processed Sidra from Colombia's Finca Las Flores, built on close relationships with farmers for consistent quality. Beans are small-batch roasted with meticulous care on Diedrich and Gothot roasters, with profiles perfected to highlight each region's character, and they even freeze-dry small-batch brews into instant coffee.

What coffee lovers say

A summary of what people say about this shop.

Generally regarded as among the exceptional coffee shops in town, standing out above the mid-tier rest, with some calling it their favorite roaster and favorite coffee beverage around. Quality can vary by location, though: the Flatiron spot is often singled out for having the best espresso and best-tasting coffee, while other locations get mentioned for more inconsistent shots.
